The other day I was also at the local hospital Bombo Hospital with a week postoperative patient. It was an exciting experience since they have a completely different system for things here than in Norway. Why internship in Tanzania I chose to go to Tanzania to challenge myself. I had already had two internships in Norway and it was time to visit another country. When Oslo Nye Høyskole gave me this opportunity, I was quick to take advantage of this chance and don t regret it for a second.
Tanzania is an exotic country with wonderful people who have the widest smiles and wish you moible number data karibu sana warm welcome wherever you are. There are also nice hotels and beaches nearby that are worth visiting at weekends, but one of the things I like the most is the market here in Tanga. African Time is what it s called here and you take life more leisurely. but in return you learn to live here and now.
You become both creative and inventive when equipment you are used to using in Norway is not available here. Fortunately, it is possible to design and make the equipment needed to get the job done. What was the most important thing you learned I have visited many projects here in Tanga. I have therefore learned an incredible amount and met many different patient groups of all ages and with different types of diagnoses. I have also learned a lot about cultural differences.
